The Kitchen on the lake

The Kitchen is a vibrant waterside café in the heart of historic Poole Park, open daily from 10am (9:30am on Saturdays)

Overlooking the lake, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious selection of homemade cakes, freshly prepared meals, and a full range of hot and cold drinks. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s an ideal stop for families, walkers, and park visitors alike.

Situated next to Rockley Watersports, The Kitchen also offers a great view of the activity on the lake – whether you’re watching the action or grabbing a bite to eat after some time on the water.

Scoops Ice Cream Parlour

Scoops Ice Cream Parlour is situated next to The Kitchen and is currently open from 10am with extended hours throughout the summer season.

Serving Kelly’s soft scoop clotted cream ice cream, with a selection of different delicious flavours, you will be spoilt for choice! Plus we have an assortment of wrapped lollies and ice creams as well as cakes, muffins and both hot and cold drinks. Premium sausage rolls, traditional Cornish pasties and slices – there’s something for everyone!

12 Hole Crazy Golf Course

Putt your way through 12 fun-filled holes, set in beautiful parkland beside the lake. Perfect for families, friends, on a sunny afternoon.

Poole Park offers plenty of peaceful green space to stroll, sit and unwind – with mature trees, flower beds, and seasonal colour around every corner.

Mini Islands & Wildlife Watching

Beyond The Ark’s indoor soft play, there are two outdoor play areas in the park – plus plenty of space to run, scoot or kick a ball around.

A much-loved miniature train loops around part of the park — a charming little ride for kids (and nostalgic grown-ups too!).

Fancy something more active? Try rowing, pedalo rides, or even kayaking on the large boating lake nearby – just a short walk from The Ark.
